Bavarian Bier Cafe (Brisbane, Eagle Street Pier, QLD)

Overlooking the waters of Eagle Street Pier, Bavarian Bier Cafe holds one of the best views a restaurant could have in the city.  While i don't feel completely qualified to review this place, as I've only tried the food and not their beers, I may as well drop a little note on their sausages.

I ordered the Cheese Kransky from the Haus-Made Sausages section, which was good, but a little heavy for just one person - and a bit too much of the same flavor.  The sauce on the side was delicious, and the mashed potatoes were a good addition as well.  I did like the Giant Bavarian Hot Dog (a bratwurst sausage with sauerkraut, etc.) better, and the onion ring sides were delicious as well.  The food is all quite heavy, but definitely is suitable for the setting.

Their service was really friendly and the restaurant is accommodating to groups, though their no take-away policy is a bit strange.  Overall, an enjoyable ambience that speaks for itself.
