Espresso Engine (Brisbane CBD, QLD)

I've been feeling under the weather since this past weekend, and with finals rolling around, I'm starting to get a bit nervous.  I've been in bed the whole weekend with my laptop with the intention to study, but haven't been able to due to a massive headache combined with every symptom possible (except for a fever, thank God).  Today I decided I had to get some revision done, so I snuck outside for my usual flat white at Espresso Engine.

Located in the alleyway of Turbot Street in the Santos building, Espresso Engine is a busy little cafe typically packed with customers during the week.  It's a low-key hub with outdoor and indoor seating bustling with businessmen/women alike, serving up coffees, as well as pastries and savory foods.  My flat white (latte) was strong and aromatic, just what I was looking for today.  It did taste a bit burnt, but was essentially a nice dark roast that suited my coffee mood perfectly.
