Mac 'n' Cheese

I was gifted a whole lotta elbow pasta, so I decided to make myself some mac 'n' cheese!  I had some difficulty finding Gruyere cheese at Coles, so I just settled with a block of generic Cheddar.  I was hoping for a few different cheeses to make it a little more interesting, but I couldn't find what I needed...

All I did was throw a little chunk of butter (olive oil works too, to be super health conscious), 2 cups of milk on a lowly heated sauce pan (frying pan works), and slowly add flour until the mixture until it's a bit thicker.  Add 1 tsp of cayenne pepper, salt, garlic flakes, and a a few dashes of black pepper, and throw in the block of cheese.  Mix until smoother (doesn't have to be perfect) and throw it over al dente elbow pasta, and mix evenly.

I decided to add spinach to mine, but you can add chorizos, mushrooms, use pesto sauce, or anything else! Get creative. Next time, I'm going to try chorizo and spinach.  I threw in the spinach to mix, and baked my mac in a casserole dish ta 200C for ~20 minutes.  Kinda crazy, but I have a week's worth of mac 'n' cheese to eat now!

My memory card's acting up again, so I had to use my iphone for pictures...
