Taro's Ramen (Fortitude Valley, QLD)

Possibly the first Japanese restaurant I went to in Brisbane, Taro's Ramen is low key and not the most impressive looking, but serves up some of the most authentic Japanese food that can be found in Brissy.  No, it may not be saying much, but the Tonkatsu Ramen was definitely satisfying for my Japanese craving even though the ramen was not as good as what I had in Cairns, which I still think about (oh shush!).  Their takoyaki was decent, and everything we ordered on their extensive menu was pretty authentic and decently priced.

Taro's was overall a good place to go when in need of a ramen fix in Brissy, though a little far away from the core and hubub of the city.  Not many places are open on Sunday nights, but this is one of those places that are, making the perfect place to eat dinner on any lazy day.
