Menya Mappen Noodle Bar (Sunnybank, QLD)

After a stressful week, I decided to make a trip out to Sunnybank with a couple of friends in search for some yummy Japanese food.  In Brisbane, Sunnybank is probably our best bet for lower-end Japanese food, and so we decided to try out Menya Mappen, since it's generally delicious.

I wasn't exactly sure what to expect since I hadn't really researched what it really was, but I really liked the whole 'retro-Japanese' noodle bar ambience with wooden stools and old newspapers tacked on the wall.  The noodles (soba) themselves were not bad, though I wish I could've tried the udon, and the flavor of the soup base [of the Bukkake] was good!  The takoyaki (2) was good, but I like mine with wasabi, but it was still a treat.  I can't wait till Taiwan! They're six for $1. Mmmm...
Takoyaki!
